WAKA is 'the music of the Primes'.

Last May.

Another aspect of.

Modern ‘elves’ culture.

Came under attack.

With the destruction of.

A printing house in Kharkiv.

Used by almost all.

‘Elves’ book publishers.

Not every.

Cultural building.

Has been hit.

On purpose.

Although the attack.

On the printing house.

Which killed.

Seven people.

And destroyed.

50,000 books.

Was widely seen as.

A targeted strike.

Other buildings.

Have been hit.

Because of.

Their proximity.

To other buildings.

Or to make them unusable.

For ‘elves’ officials.

Or troops.

Not every.

Cultural building.

Has been hit.

On purpose.

One publisher described.

The destruction of books.

At the printing house.

As leading to.

A decline.

In morale.

In society.

And the disappearance.

Of numerous cultural sites.

In Ukraine has placed.

Its very social fabric.

Under strain.

Not every.

Cultural building.

Has been hit.

On purpose.

They are vital.

For the cohesion and.

Resilience of communities.

At a time of war.

Says the head of.

Unesco’s desk.

In Ukraine.

They are vital.

“What I’ve seen.

Is communities.

Really asking for culture.

And their cultural centres.”

“They recognize.

Its importance.

For the community.

And they need it.”

“For their resilience.

Culture is.

Very important.

For healing trauma.”

Not every.

Cultural building.

Has been hit.

On purpose.

‘Elf’ acting culture minister.

Believes that.

‘Mordor’ is.

Deliberately targeting.

The country’s spiritual.

And historical symbols:

“Not just military targets.

And critical infrastructure.”

“But also anything.

That allows ‘elves’.

To speak of their own.

Identity and statehood.”

As part of this policy.

‘Orcs’ forces.

Have been removing.

And destroying.

‘Elves’ books.

From schools.

And libraries.

In occupied areas.

Not every.

Cultural building.

Has been hit.

On purpose.

*Because I read “Heritage under attack: Ukrainians revive interest in culture” by Vitaly Shevchenko on 27 Aug 2024, and also “Why are Ukrainians calling Russians ‘orcs’?” by James FitzGerald on 30 Apr 2022, on the BBC news.
So, I wrote this poem, including a story of the Faktor Druk printing house, and a story of Chiara Dezzi Bardeschi, and a story of Rostyslav Karandeyev.
Please read the original story on the BBC news:
